About Service

Would you like your child to excel in A-level Russian with Edexcel? If so, join our group sessions tailored for A-level Russian students. Since Edexcel doesn’t provide official teaching materials, I create my own lessons and resources as a native Russian speaker. This strengthens language skills, deepens cultural understanding, and prepares students for exams. I have a great track record, with all my students achieving A or A* grades. I can adapt my sessions for both native and non-native speakers.

My courses include studying texts like Queen of Spades, Sonechka, The Government Inspector, and The Cherry Orchard, as well as films like Leviathan, Burnt by the Sun, and Prisoner of the Mountains. I choose the best text and film combinations to help students understand the context and social issues in Spanish-speaking societies.

My lessons cover all parts of the Russian language, including:

Speaking: Improve conversational skills and pronunciation through practice.

Listening: Develop comprehension with various audio materials.

Reading: Enhance understanding of written Russian through diverse texts.

Writing: Practice writing skills, focusing on grammar and vocabulary.

I also provide cultural insights since learning a language includes understanding its culture. My lessons discuss Russian customs, history, and current events to enrich the experience.

I have been a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher within the British Educational system for over 14 years, specialising in Spanish, French, Russian and German. I have taught internationally in Dubai for the last 8 years. Before moving to the Middle East, I taught for six years in a range of schools across the north-east of England, including the best independent grammar schools with a proven track record of Oxbridge success.
